How to connect Apple Business Chat

Create your Apple Business Chat account and connect it to Jivo so that visitors can start conversations with you directly from Maps or Siri. Also, this integration allows you to replace our chat on site with Apple Business Chat for visitors from iPhone or iPad. That means, such visitors will always be in touch in Messenger and will never miss your reply!

To connect Apple Business Chat, you will need to create an account in Apple Business Register.

First of all, you need to create an account in Apple Business Register here: link.


On this screen click the “Sign in” button.

After that, sign in with your Apple ID and accept the terms of use.


Then proceed to creating an Apple Business Chat account.


On the next screen, you need to find Business Accounts for messages in the list of services and click “Add service”.


Continue the registration by clicking on the “Apply” button.



Specify the type of your organization.


Enter the name of the organization and contact details.



Next step is to mark the place on the map where the office of your organization is located, if you have previously chosen that your organization has an office.


Add your website address and also the social media links, if necessary.


After that you have to set the contact of the account administrator. This user will be able to make changes in the organization account and add new users. By default, this field contains the Apple ID of the user who is signing up.


Next step is to specify a technical contact: a user who can help you with the setup. For example, it’s your system administrator.


Now specify the approximate number of customers who contact you, as well as the expected number of agents who will work in the chat.


Next, you need to specify how many chats you expect to process through Business Chat, and also indicate whether agents will respond online or not.


Then select the platform you will use to work with the chat. Type “JivoChat” in the search field and select our platform.


After specifying all the data, you will be asked to send the application for consideration right away. However, it is better to postpone this a little and fill in additional fields. Proceed by clicking “Later”.


You will see a screen with the previously entered data and some new sections.


First of all, you need to specify “Response hours”, click “Edit” next to the appropriate section. It is going to be the working time of your agents in the Business Chat.

Next, in the “Messages Header Configuration” section, set the colors for your the dialog header, the navigation buttons in chat (“Info” and “Back”) and upload your logos.



After that you’re ready to submit a registration request by clicking the “Send to review” button. The application process takes 1-2 days. You will receive an email and see the status of the request in your Apple Business Register account.


If your application was declined, it is necessary to check the data in the application, make the necessary corrections and re-send the application.

After successful review, your account status will change to Integration & Testing.


At this point you will be able to connect Jivo. Open your Business Chat account settings -> “Customer Service Platform Configuration” section -> click on “Connect to JivoChat”.


Doing so will launch our web app with a new communication channel connection screen.


After you click on the “Connect Apple Business Chat”, you will have a new Apple Business Chat channel in the app. Test the integration by sending a few messages to yourself.
