Having confirmation email templates can be very useful so you know what to write to your target audience to reassure them that a specific situation happened. For example, you can send a confirmation email to confirm that someone has just subscribed to your newsletter, or that a purchase has been made.

There are different types of confirmation emails, which were developed for different contexts. All of them have the purpose to enhance communication with your customers and leads. What Is a Confirmation Email?

A confirmation email is an email that is sent after the customer took a specific action. It is used to confirm that the action was successful, and also to explain what are the next steps that the person should follow. 

A confirmation email is often sent to confirm a purchase or a subscription. Besides confirming the action, this type of email can include other information like when the product is going to be delivered, and telling the payment was made. 

You can enjoy the opportunity of talking with the customer to include a coupon discount, for example, in the confirmation email. This way, you are encouraging the customer to buy once more in your store. 

Types of Confirmation Emails

Different from what many people may think, confirmation emails don't serve only to confirm purchases. On the contrary, they are sent in several situations and must be written considering what you need to communicate with your target audience, their characteristics, and your brand's identity.  

Order Confirmation Email

The order confirmation email is the one sent to tell a customer their purchase was concluded. You can use this email to tell when the product will be delivered, confirm the payment, detail the product order, and explain how to track the package. 

The order confirmation email has a high opening rate. Customers value receiving them because it makes them sure that everything went right with the order they made. It conveys trust and credibility as well.

Booking Confirmation Email

The booking confirmation email is sent, for example, when you make a restaurant reservation online or when you book a hotel room. It reassures that the booking was successfully completed, and the customer doesn't have to worry about it. 

This type of confirmation email should contain the booking details, such as the place, day, and time of the reservation. 

Registration Confirmation Email

The reservation confirmation email is sent when someone subscribes to a newsletter or creates an account on a website, for example. It has the purpose of reassuring the person that now they will receive the newsletter or that an account was created.

Feedback Confirmation Email

If you ask the customer to leave feedback about a product or service after they give the feedback, it's important to send an email that confirms their message was received and thank them for sending it. That's the feedback confirmation email.
